Mitika, the International Center and Bogotá: 24 Hours of Life!

Over the years, the downtown areas of capital cities have become key zones for both tourists and residents. In response, the government has improved and implemented new facilities in transportation, mobility, and public spaces that encourage community interaction. This is why the initiative “Bogotá Productiva 24 Horas” is being launched.

What is this initiative about?

According to W Radio, after the pilot conducted in 2020 in the Chapinero locality—which generated a 35% increase in local business sales and created 250 jobs—Bogotá Productiva 24 Horas will enter a new phase, this time in 13 prioritized zones.

The strategy will be launched this Friday in La Candelaria and will feature three public space interventions in that area, La Macarena, and the Centro Internacional, where projects like Mitika Apartaestudios are located. This will bring incredible valuation to these areas and highlight our apartaestudios for tourists visiting the capital, as these zones will now be active 24 hours a day.

The initiative aims to boost Bogotá’s traditional gastronomic and tourist routes. Additionally, in collaboration with the Bogotá Museum Board, it will lead the city’s first Night of the Museums in November, a program coordinated with Mexico City, Panama, and Asunción. The events will take place every weekend.

Program Schedule:

  • La Candelaria: fashion system, creative and cultural industries (Oct 22–24)
  • La Macarena – Centro Internacional: gastronomy and creative & cultural industries (Nov 19 – Dec 12)
